novel AIEgens of CN-TPB-AD and CN-TPB-TPA, in which the electron donating groups of 9,9-dimethylacridan (AD) and triphenylamine (TPA) were attached on TPB cores together with the same acceptor of the cyano group, respectively, were designed and prepared. The cyano group not only reduces the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy level and lowers the electron injection obstacle of devices, but also can improve intermolecular interactions.32 Meanwhile, CN-TPB-TPA possesses high PLQY and could realize a high proportion of horizontal orientation. Moreover, this molecule also owns superior electron and hole transporting capabilities. As a result, the optimized non-doped deep blue OLED with CN-TPB-TPA as an emitting layer (EML) realizes a maximum forward-viewing EQE of 7.27% with CIE coordinates of (0.15, 0.08). Notably, even at a high luminance of 1000 cd m2 , the EQE maintains 6.62% with a low operation voltage of 3.0 V.
